Hi-Tec continues to use Repreve Technology to create sustainable gear.
We have launched the Hi-Tec ONE campaign for 2024. As part of this campaign, We will continue to use Repreve Technology to transform plastic waste into high-performance wearable solutions. By doing this, we are not only reclaiming plastic from the environment but also making something useful out of it instead of letting it contribute to destruction. Hi-Tec aims to safeguard the places we love to explore and play in, just in time for the World Recycling Day and beyond.
The Hi-Tec ONE campaign continues to highlight our latest sustainable innovations and advancements. We are dedicated to reducing their environmental impact by using eco-friendly materials and sustainable practices in the manufacturing process. Our goal is to inspire others to join the brand in creating a better future for the planet. Through this campaign, We hope to encourage everyone to work together towards a more sustainable future.
“Continuing the success of our previous Hi-Tec ONE campaign requires building on the momentum and expanding efforts to further engage our customers,” says Louise White Brand Manager at Hi -Tec.” We encourage customers to be more eco-friendly while also demonstrating our commitment to sustainability as a business,” concluded White.
From plastic bottles to Fashionable eco-friendly Puffer Jackets & Hiking Boots.
The step-by-step guide in creating the Repreve Technology Fibre:
Step 1: Recyclable bottles and post-industrial waste are collected all over the world.
Step 2: The waste material undergoes a series of processes such as chopping, grinding, washing, and turning into flakes to eliminate contaminants.
Step 3: Waste flakes are melted and converted into high-quality Repreve resin through reformulation.
Step 4: Resin is melted into liquid polymer, which is then extruded to form fiber. The fiber is spun, and air-jet textured into yarn to create eco-friendly apparel and footwear.
We are determined to educate its customers about the manufacturing process of puffer jackets made by Repreve Technology. To ensure the success of this initiative, We are setting up interactive displays in our stores where customers can witness the entire process of how the jackets are made through these displays.
The Hi-Tec One campaign is set to launch on World Recycling Day, Monday 18 March, across South Africa.
