RUN THROUGH TIME

Please carefully review the following Terms and Conditions for the Hi-Tec Run Through Time Competition (“the Competition”). Your participation and entry imply your agreement to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

• Eligibility:

o The Competition is open to South African citizens possessing a valid South African barcoded green ID Book or ID smartcard, or a valid South African passport. Non-South African citizens must possess a valid passport and Certificate of Residence.
o By entering the Competition, Participants agree to adhere to the Terms and Conditions outlined herein.
o Participants confirm their legal capacity to enter the Competition and agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions as interpreted by the Promoters.
o The decision of the Promoters in any dispute shall be final and binding with no further correspondence entered into thereafter.
o Participants must be natural persons aged 18 (eighteen) years or older at the time of entry.
o Each Participant must hold a valid South African bank account.

• Ineligibility:

o Employees, directors, members, partners, agents, consultants, or individuals directly or indirectly associated with the Promoters, as well as immediate family members of such persons (“Disqualified Persons”), are ineligible to participate.
o Individuals who have won a competition promoted by the Promoters within the preceding six (6) months of the Competition commencement date are ineligible to enter.
o Companies are not eligible to participate in this Competition.

• Competition Period:

o The Competition commences on May 03, 2024, and concludes on May 24, 2024.
o Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and random selector on May 28, 2024.
o The Competition Period may be extended or shortened at the discretion of the Promoters.

• Entry Procedure, Selection of Winners, and Prize Claiming:

o To enter, Participants must utilize the Hi-Tec 50 Instagram filter, use the filter to capture an iconic picture anywhere in South Africa , share it to their Instagram Stories, and tag @hitec_sa for visibility by the Promoters.
o All tagged entries will be captured by the Promoter’s community manager within 24 hours.
o Entry does not guarantee winning.
o Multiple entries are permitted, each requiring a distinct picture.
o Participants with valid entries stand a chance to win one cash prize to the value of R50,000.
o A panel of judges (Hi-Tec) of the campaign will choose 5 finalists based on the most iconic posts , from there entries will undergo a random selection process to determine the winner.
o Winners will be notified via Instagram direct messages.
o Winners must respond within 48 hours, failing which their claim to the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be chosen through the same process.
o Winners must email the Promoter all verification documents as outlined in the direct message upon notification.
o The Promoter will verify documents and communicate the next steps to The Winner within 24 hours.
o The Promoter will obtain the winner’s permission before sharing their personal information in the announcement post.
o Participants are eligible for one prize only in this Competition.
o The Promoter assumes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, illegible, late, or altered entries.
o Participants are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all provided information.
o Any tax implications or liabilities resulting from winning the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner.
o No substitution or exchange of the Prize is permitted.
o The Prize will only be handed over if all winner-provided details are correct.
o The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of similar economic value.
o The draw will be supervised by an independent auditor, attorney, or advocate.
o If the draw cannot take place as scheduled, the Promoter will attempt to conduct it within a reasonable timeframe.
o The Promoter may publish the winner’s name and photographs in various promotional materials with the winner’s consent.
o Upon prize handover, Competition results become final, and no correspondence will be entertained.
o By participating, entrants accept the Promoter’s right to reshare and publish any entry content for marketing purposes.
o Winners may be required to participate in further publicity related to the Competition.
o Winners acknowledge that the Promoter may use their names and likenesses for promotional purposes.

• Personal Information Processing:

o The Promoter commits to processing Personal Information in a manner that upholds the constitutional right to privacy.
o Automated means may be utilized for Personal Information processing, with provision for Data Subject objection.
o Participants expressly consent to Personal Information processing for various purposes outlined in detail.
o Winners must complete and submit an information disclosure form for compliance purposes.
o The Promoters may use entrants’ personal information for communication purposes.
o Participants may object to Personal Information processing by contacting the Promoter’s Information Officer.

• General:

o The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions as needed, with immediate effect.
o Amendments may include changes to any aspect of the Competition or the Prize.
o Adjustments may be made during the Competition period, potentially affecting its duration.
o Participants are responsible for regularly reviewing the Competition’s Terms and Conditions.
o Any adjustments become effective immediately upon publication by the Promoter.
o Participants waive any recourse or claim against the Promoter due to Terms and Conditions adjustments or Competition termination.
o The Promoter may cancel, suspend, or terminate the Competition under certain conditions, with notice to all Participants if no winner has been declared.
o Providing incorrect information may result in disqualification.
o Winners use the Prize at their own risk, absolving the Promoter of liability.
o Participants and Winners indemnify the Promoter against any claims arising from participation in the Competition.
o Disputes arising from the Competition shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
o The Promoter may withhold the Prize until satisfied of the claimant’s authenticity and may request additional proof.
o The Promoter assumes no liability for late Prize delivery beyond its control.
o All provisions must comply with the Consumer Protection Act to the extent necessary.

Delivery Update

All E-commerce orders will now be express shipped (1-7 business days), We are delighted to be able to offer this service to our customers. All orders over R1000 will be delivered free of charge and all orders under R1000 will incur a R79 delivery fee. For any assistance regarding the delivery process kindly email: [email protected]. Kindly note our warehouse is operational from: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm and orders will only be dispatched between these times.

Kindly note all of our orders are shipped from our warehouse in Cape Town. Please reach out to us if you do require an express delivery within Cape Town, for any areas outside of Cape Town we need to make specific arrangements with our logistics and courier partner.

• The 15% Off newsletter sign-up discount code is valid for FIRST TIME newsletter subscribers only. Coupon codes will not be made available to customers who have previously signed up.
• The coupon code cannot be applied retrospectively meaning, if you have forgotten to use the code on checkout, we will not refund the 15% on that purchase. The code will then have to be applied to the customers next purchase by the customer.
